This is the fault of the guy that got bit not the bear. Now the bear will have to be put down because of this guys stupidity. Please keep your distance from bears and other wild animals. Take all the pictures you want but please don`t do anything that would cause an incident like this.

I don't mess with no bears. I've seen people who thought they was harmless though. Especially in Cades Cove.

It is there home, people are the visitors, please respect their space. Incidents like this might very end the wild bear. People wouldn`t go to Africa and crowd a Lion or India and crowd a Tiger or even crowd a Gator. Why a bear is wild too.

I think it was one of the undernourished yearlings. the mass crop of acorns wasnt as pleantiful in the mountains as it has been. Plus all the snow and cold has left the bears small and undernourished.

Maybe things will be more normal this year. If the bears start roaming they're liable to show up anywhere.

They are like any other animal wild or domestic. they can easily be imprinted with man equals food. Not that man is food but that man has food.
