Caretaker my sis Had a big dog part bird dog. The operative word here is HAD. Time we was called and got there her dog had disappeared. You know you can tell a lot about a persons character when they are faced with adversity. And I've learned my sister has loads of character. She has seen humor in the darnest things. So emotionally she is doing OK. She is able to laugh. It's been a very tough road for her but she had handled it much better than I would have ever been able to handle such a thing. I just can't imagine. I do know I don't complain about any thing around her. And she doesn't complain. Thanks for your prayers. And Randy we talked about taking her to rehab and decided between the family we could handle everything. Course the gals pretty much had to handle the gal stuff but we men were good for lifting and hauling. And we have all gotten so much closer and more united. And I suspect she is about your weight Randy.

She will be able to do some things. And she can work because she pretty much has a desk job. But the surgeon has already warned her she will never be normal.
There was just too much damage done. It's doubtful she will ever be able to walk any distance without the use of a cane or a walker.
Butttt she is OK.

I know that had to be some unbearable pain with that kneecap turned around.

She was in an awful mess Randy. Three screws from thigh to ankle held together by plates on both sides of her leg. They were really great about making sure she had enough pain medication and muscle relaxers. They had her on morphine and valium for the first 8 weeks, then following that surgery (to remove the pins and plates) they keep her at the same dosage. Then the next surgery to screw the tops back on her tibia and fibulla and thigh bone she was able to begin to cut back after her sutures healed.
It hurt me to look at her leg.

I could only imagine how that would hurt, I know my knee injuries I suffered at work were bad enough with the pain, but most of all I've been through has been no more than a 2 month ordeal. You let us know when they do the surgery on her so we can all pray for her.

I will guys. We talk with her every day. She saw her doc two weeks ago and he is thinking it will be near the 1st of the year for her last surgery.
He is thinking about doing a total knee replacement.

That's probably the only thing that's going to work. I know that that's the only thing they can do for me, I'm just waiting to get this WC case settled so they will have to pay for my knee replacement, and then I'll get both of them replaced, and pray for great results.

In the beginning he was talking about fusing the knee and the ankle. She has done so well with her therapy and has gotten a lot of strenght he thinks by the 1st of the year a replacement will be enough.
When she told me the possible date for her next surgery I told her "well I guess this means your football career is over for this year" She laughed and laughed.
