I got a picture of a 227lb (dressed) 8 pointer my buddy got this season.I'll hunt up that picture in the next little bit and post it for yas. I'm guessing at one time our native whitetails were fairly large in Tennessee. About 40-45 years ago they brought in a bunch of short deer not much bigger than a medium size dog from Texas. For years you didn't see anything much weighing over 100 pounds dressed out. The average size has built back up considerably though.

Found that picture,this is my friend Chris on the second day of our whitetail season.Tagged out using his 7mm on this dandy 8 pointer 227lbs {dressed} with a 24 inch inside spread.
