Might work on purebred ducks. But around here many simply aren't such and are crosses even to domesticated white farm ducks.

one fact that I was not aware of not being into duck hunting was the Drake Mallard loosing its color and resembling a female at certain times.

I know Wood ducks and Mallards that's about it..

Yea that's true. Even some of the geese around here are getting crossed. Cove Lake Park has plenty of them..
