I remember Pappy, Lucky, and I were up around Wood Duck island fishing and then moved to the mouth of Big Springs hollow. I had on the line two bass in about an hours time that were five pounders. One a Large mouth one a Small mouth. I lost them both. LOL. I reckon I was about maybe 15 then. It was in that old aluminum boat. I know that because the Game Warden stopped us for me sitting on the bow. My feet were inside the boat and an old 7.5 Evinrude wasn't going to get anyone hurt moving the speed we were. It was that jerk warden who finally got ran off. He harassed everyone on the lake checking their license & boat registration several times a day. Later that evening he stopped us because the stern light was not visible one mile. Not many were back than. Like I said he was a jerk. I think he stepped on some big toes in Union County and I can just about guess who's family it was too.

this one you would have. Pappy knew quite a few he got on the bad side of. These were law abiding sportsmen. He didn't last too long maybe a year or two. He was on Norris around the early 1970's.
