The TWRC is thinking about shortning the bear archery season. Those concerned may voice them. I don`t bear hunt but might if opertunity arose. news.tennesseeanytime.org/node/5219

I don't see any reason to shorten it. They got bears wandering neighborhoods in Blount and Sevier counties

I don`t know enough about it to make a decision but I can`t see bear archery having an adverse effect on the bear population.

Me neither really. Might be because there just isn't a big enough demand and harvest on the archery to justify the long season. I don't think I'd really want to hunt bears with anything less than a decent caliber rifle though but that's just me.

Me neither to be honest. If I get a deer this fall it's mostly going to be jerky I think. That way I'd get the best use out of it. I don't think I'd want bear jerky LOL.

I've always heard it's strong and greasy but I admit I haven't actually ever seen it nor tasted.
