Sounds like it was a night time accident. That many people in the daytime are going to see land coming at them.

i don`t know. I haven`t been on that lake and don`t know about shallow islands and bars. Had a friend hit land on Douglas several years ago. He was in a 19 ft bullet and the hot foot throttle stuck. He tried to turn and ran aground sideways. Threw him from the boat.

Yeouch.. IIRC Dale Hollow is a steep bank lake.. I haven't been on it but I've been to it once.. Kinda like going to one of the upper Little T lakes like Calderwood I guess.

I guess with all the partying we should be thankful there were no more fatalities. Still one is tragic.

Yep. I looked it up and as best I can tell Dale Hollow is about 150 feet deep at the dam.
