We were coming up the driveway this afternoon in Pappy's Pick Up and four Turkeys decided to walk ahead. They looked maybe three fourths grown.
That solved a mystery my wife was telling me about this morning. She woke up at about 6:30 hearing someone laughing she though. The Turkeys had likely just come off roost about then.

Yea she thought she was going nuts Especially when I told her the TV in the living room had the sound turned off.. I knew the turkeys had been around. When I walked the fences out the other day I saw where they'd been scratching for acorns.

Good to know they are around. Probably means the deer are too.

Yea They've been seen also. When the leaves get off the trees some they'll be more visible and will likely start changing browse routes also..

They will stick to known trails and good browse.

Yea The food is what will change their trails a little and possibly water if we don't get enough rain. I'm not sure that old pond is still up there or not.

There is enough water for them along with browse and cover.

They get to the water below me. They cross the lower goat lot and go to the spring. Then they cross on over into the other side of the hollow sometimes up behind my friends moms house..

Deer adapt fairly well and conditions there don`t change all that much.
