I'll be back out in the woods with my smokepole, hoping to take a couple of doe's and a good buck if it presents itself. I wish all of you luck with your hunting. I finally bought a new router, and I'm back to being wireless again!! David I surehope your getting stronger and feeling better, I'm praying for you!! Randy ;D

I shot at a 8 pointer a few weeks ago, but missed it. It was at last shooting light, and I had a lot of trees in my way. I shot and was trying to lead the deer with my 7mm, but I forgot to stop the buck before I shot, and clearly missed it. I was just sick to my stomach after that!!

If a substitute decides to hunt up here I'm sitting the rest of the season out probably. Them bones is a lot less cooperative & forgiving with me than they were this time last year. If he doesn't I'll likely hunt half days probably afternoons.

Sorry about the miss Randy but it happens to all of us. I have missed a buck and doe on the lease. I had a hang fire at ib`s at a nice buck.( old bad cap fizzled). I also got to watch 7 doe walk by me at lb`s lined up like the 7 dwarfs while ol dopey sat there with out a cap on the nipple or even one with him to put on. It has been an interesting season. I plan to hunt at ib`s during the anterless gun hunt with him and possibly mike243. Not going to push it though. I would like to see ib take the buck as he had it and had a miss fire.
Good huntin to all!

I should have tried a reload. Just one of those things. I stood there snorting at him trying to get him to break toward Caretaker and he just looked at me like DUH LOL.

Yea, you finally got him to run but he was too far away and in the woods for me to get a clear shot.

The deer I think are so used to being near people they just walk off a few feet unless shot at.

Randy be careful. Cold temps is what keeps me and ib in. Old bones can`t take the cold like they use too.

Glad I'm not in Wisconsin right now. I spent most of the winter of 76-77 at Great Lakes, Illinois. A warm day was zero toward the last. A cold night was below -40 not counting windchill factor and held the record three decades. Strange thing was by media accounts 1977 had the warmest April on record there. That really didn't bother me much back then. Kinda fun in a way except for the basic training part LOL. Now a 30 degree morning sitting in the woods even with several layers of clothes on makes the bones hurt.
