It`s been a good season even if I haven`t harvested a deer. I have hunted with friends. IB,Greg and Mike. I plan to hunt Saturday with Mike and Greg at IB`s. Don`t know if IB will join us or not. Looks like we will be hunting in the snow.

You'll have 1-3 inches of snow. NWS says 1-2 but it starts sooner up here and I get more snow than Pappy due to the surface temp differences. They'll be easier to spot anyway.

If you want to you can set with me in the two man pop up blind. Keeps the wind off pretty good. Mike said something about riding his 4 wheeler over.

Tell him that might be a good idea. You might need it to get up there. My cousin rides his in between places he has and his house. The way he's coming there's not much chance of getting caught. They don't enforce it too strong anyway. Too many around here use them on their farms and going to nearby leased ones. When it snows the county parks the cruisers or stay off the side roads.

Good luck David!! My season is over here for me. I not any good with my crossbow. Not the crossbows fault, but my tremors affect me a lot more with it! I do plan on getting a new one soon. I want an Excalibur!!

I hear a deer party on the ridge. Time for them to start jumping out in front of me in the driveway again. Only way a person could have maybe gotten one today around here would have been still hunting the power line at daylight. That might have gotten one off the bed.

Mike found 4 beds yesterday that were fresh in that the snow had not covered the bare ground. like I said I have had a good season. Enjoyed being in the woods with old and new friends.

The area behind the A-Frame is huntable too as long as the house is empty. I doubt it will be rented again. Too much trouble to get water.

From the creek up through my place is about the best hunting. It's not been disturbed and lots of thickets. We're only seeing part of what's crossing in there.
