The media generated hysteria in the past few days has been outrageous. Blame is going everywhere but straight on the shoulders of the man who did the shooting. The sheriff out there isn't the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree lights either. He's fixing to blow the prosecutors case if he hasn't already. No LEO in his position acts in that manner. I can't download due to dial up but I've read about most of the comment.

Joe spoke from the heart. He was prepared to use his pistol to take out the shooter to protect lives. Thankfully he did not have to. He also stated that if a criminal, mentally ill, or person with an agenda wanted a gun no amount of laws would stop them. I also applaud Joe for going for the gun. he didn`t know who the shooter was he just saw someone with with the gun and made them drop it. Then he subdued the shooter when told who he was. I also applaud his stand on his right to carry.

Man has been killing man since Cain and Abel. Given the venue the only one carrying was likely him. Others carrying would have been in the store shopping. There was laws against hijacking planes but less than two dozen zealot thugs used box cutters to make missiles out of airliners. Of the four aircraft only one group dared to challenge. them. That one act did more to stop terrorist attacks in the U.S. than any law since.
