Went on up to the fishin hole on the Clinch today. The river was down and things looked good for a mess of trout. Unfortunately I fished most of the day without nary a bite. I blame this sad situation upon my ol buddy Mike243. I texted Mike and told him I was a going trout fishin and hinted that he should meet me there. He texted me back that he had a mess of hunny do`s and could not go. I am certain that he put the jinx on me out of spite. I did have one friend drop by to visit with me. Delta can strolling by while taking ib for his walk. She was draggin him along behind her on a leash. I told her she was a good dog for keepin ib on a leash.

Neither did I but at sometime or another I'm sure somebody caught a three pounder above the Weir. I just wanted to put a pit in your stomach a few minutes but not lie to ya. Feel better now?

Congrats to whoever caught anything today. Talked to dad and said one of his friends had been catching walleye up next to the dam on the other side.

I didn't see anything come out of the river today but fishermen empty handed except for tackle. I think the wind might have put the trout down. Glad to hear their catching fish on the lake side.

No they are catching them in the river up next to the dam when the river is down on the far side.

Ok over at the old picnic area. I wish they would open that road on that side back up at least during the day. The have it gated right at the practice range last time I looked. I'd like to walk the lower trail but I need to park at the bottom to do it.

Right after 9/11 TVA security closed it off. They never reopened it. Kinda silly really because anyone parked up at the power house or at the overlook south side of the dam can see whats going on over there. Right below the dam on that side is two foundations where the Army had machine gun placements there during WW2 and I think there's a couple more down stream which is what that cable and towers was for.

Yea, I believe you right about the gun placements. They may be using boats to catch the walleye dad didn`t say. He talked like they were fishing from the shoals though.

I'm guessing a boat. It's a pretty steep walk from the parking gate on the other side down to the river.
