I want one. LOL I used to have a 12 foot Jon boat. I would slap a 9.9 on the thing and take off. I'd say it topped out at close to 30 mph. I had to sit in the floor when running too.

I have a 1997 Stratos 18'-6" Bass boat with a 150 HP Evinrude on it that I bought used off of Ebay in 2004 from a local dealer. It's been a sweet running boat and is fast enough to get me around the lake. I also have a 15 foot old (20 years) Jon boat that I rebuilt completely with a 4HP Mercury motor and a trolling motor. On some of the water sheds around here you can't have a gas motor on the boat so I take it off and just use the trolling motor.

I bought my Jon because because of just that reason.
Great looking Venture you have there. I have to laugh when my friends show up because the Stratos bass boat is in the garage and my truck is parked in the drive.

I have a friend with a 1999 Stratos Bass boat, with a 150hp Evinrude, and I weigh in at 345, and the last time I went with him a couple of years ago, I weighed 375, and he weighed in at about 300, and 6'5" tall, and that boat would fly. He had his at 65mph, and I was begging him to let off the water was white capping real bad, on Lake Barkley that day!!

My Stratos will do 65 tops with the prop I now have on it. It will do about 62 with the 4 blade 21 pitch power prop on it. The power prop will have it on plane in a boat length but I dinged one of the blades pretty bad so I put the speed prop back on it. I will send the power prop out to be refinished this winter. I rarely run my boat at full power because when you are going that fast you only get about 3 miles to the gallon. I usually will run it up to top speed for about 5 minutes and yell out "I'm Feeding the Horses" and then back it off to about 4000 RPM and run down the lake. Now if I'm in a tournament we run full speed everywhere. They have a Big Bass tournament once a year on our lake and first prize is $10000. Last year I caught a 5lb 10 oz Bass that would have finished 5th but I caught it on Friday practicing for the tournament.

I saw something today that was odd. I admit I've been a while from fishing very much but I saw a 48 HP Evinrude on a boat while I was out and about. It looked new I just can't figure out if it was made 48 to get around some federal energy regs or what. Seems a 50 would sell better but that's just me.
