I wait till they cut the beans or corn and put a small snoopy dog out in the field and use an old taperecorder to play a dying rabbit noise softly
the yotes will sneak up on the snoopy dog real slow and on their bellies it's fun to watch how sneaky they can be.
anybody else call in yotes?

My son and I are trying to learn. Last year I was playing that dying rabbit sound on my Mini disc player, and a small amplifier, and a small horn speaker, only thing is, I was playing it loud enough for 3 counties over to hear it. lol You live and learn, hopefully.

I bought a MoJo critter decoy to go with my caller. It's a small electroninc box with a thin metal antenna type thing with a few brown and white pieces of cloth afixed to the top. You turn it on and about every 15 seconds it spins the antenna in a circle and makes the cloth pieces flutter like bird wings creating movement. You put this next to your electronic caller about 40 to 50 yards up wind and it makes the varmints focus on it and not you. I can't wait to try it out as soon as the call gets here.

The mojo is the way to go, and they say it really works well on other forums.

The only thing I heard people doing to lure varmints in was putting an open can of Tuna on a limb close to the ground. Not recommended in bear country though.

Actually I'm sure that it would work for varmints as it's no different then baiting deer with corn.
