Well I just put a post in Craigslist dealing with some of the giveaway and rehoming post. Should be pulled by now. But at least UB Ugly will probably get his dog tomorrow. Funniest thing was his Boxer would dive in the lake and bring him things like a Carp once. Or a piece of Styrofoam as big as he was.

My cousin {Davids brother} had a Lab that would dive in the creek for a rock he threw in. If the dog brought the wrong rock back in he went. I finally figured out how the dog knew which rock. He would spit on the rock then throw it. I trained a Lab I had afterward doing that. He never missed a retrieve. This is about the longest I've gone without a Lab. My last one died of old age about 4 years ago. My wife wanted a companion so we got a Ratty. The Ratty grew to 20 pounds and she wanted a lap dog. So I got her a Toy Ratty. The two dogs together is an ongoing circus.

"ugly" I think the whole state of TN has a lead law. I know how it is when you live out. I lived out in the country in Upper E when I was there and we had dogs that run loose. Only dogs I wouldn't let run loose were my hounds. I had a dog lot for them. My little feist squirrel dogs I let them run loose. We don't have a dog right now only one OLD cat. But I have to tell ya I saw a great looking german shephard pup today. 6 weeks old black and tan. Smart looking and acting dog. I like the looks of a boxer too.

My wife and I would like to have a German Sheperd If it would get along with my two other dogs. I think they shed a lot like a lab, and don't know if that would be hard to keep under control. This Chihauhau sheds like crazy, the Shih Tzu don't shed a bit. We have had a white German Sheperd, and A Black and silver one that was the smartest dog I've ever seen, and He just walked up on his own and adopted himself to my Father in law.

I didn't know german shephards shed Randy. I known of people who owned them but never noticed the shedding.
We did have a Collie when the boys were growing up. Very smart dog and what he lacked talking wasn't much. He tried and did make himself understood most of the time. It was sooo funny. He was pure bred out of a pair of black and white collies. He did not shed a bit.
My wife had a poodle that didn't shed. I can't stand shed hair laying around all over the house. YUK!! Sneezes me to death.

I have allergies to jug, and we have to keep him on a steady washing, flea meds, and brushing to keep the hair off everything. I'll never have another Chihauhau, although I've had 3 other Chihauhau's in my life already. Though My wife is like you and your wife jug, she wants out of the animal business by the time my youngest graduates college, where we can travel, and go camping around the country. Randy

The new Slobber Hound looks full Boxer amybe a cross between a Brindle and American Boxer. Very friendly but liked to eat my coveralls. This one seems smart enough but still got some pup in him.
