Speaking of an ibugly type a fellow. Let me introduce you to my ibgrizzlyadams. He's my cousin Dewayne, and along with my son and his boys, which are a great bunch of good ol boys who know how to Get ur Done, I couldn't hunt without their help and support, which all of them so freely give. Randy

He's a guitar picker too John. He and I played for our Uncles Gospel group. He played an old Black Harmony Sovereign, and I play and old Hofner bass guitar in the fiddle shape, like Paul McCartney of the Beatles played.

Was the group the family name you keep mentioning?

No it was the Franklin Brothers, and Dewaynes Dad sang Bass for them. They could have been on the Gaither video's if they had got the right management. They are still great, and we had a re-union concert a couple of times 3 years ago, and I played Lead guitar, instead of bass, I had a ball, and listened in awe, they are so good in their harmonies.

Sounded like a dream job. I'd just like to get the time and money to go to a Bluegrass Festival. I have two cousins who can play real well I'm told but have never got to hear them. They are my moms brothers sons.

That would be cool to play with them if you ever get to.

Bob, I weigh 344 and 6'1" and Dewayne is 5'10" and the higher 260's and he has a bigger belly than I do. I take after My Grandpa Franklin with a set of shoulders as wide as a barn. The top pic is around 5 years age I had just lost 144lbs, and weighed 300 lbs, the second pic is after being disabled and I weigh the same as I do now, although I lost 20 lbs to get there again. Last physical in May I had gone from 5'10 to 5'8". This morning I tipped the scales at 248. In June I was 270 and having trouble even breathing. If I hit the upper 230's again I'll be happy with it. If not I won't beat myself up :>} But I'm about there. So far I'm not depriving myself of eating when I'm hungry.. I stay hungry all the time and I'm not joking. I eat about all the time too. My dad and caretakers mom and their dad are about the only three on that side of the family that didn't have any weight problems.
Our grandfather was skinny from the pictures we have. He died in 1946. But his brothers were real large men in the 300 plus range. They were all also Blacksmiths by trade so the idea goes out the window about it simply being about working off more than you eat. It's genetics also. I take after the heavier side of the family and have outweighed my dad since about my senior year of high school and I was skinny then. The other picture you saw of me at the rig I was still over 200 pounds and overweight by Army standards. I weighed 185 as a 19 year old coming out of Navy Basic Training. I ain't seen under 200 since and I was in top physical condition in the Navy as I was a fire fighter. Look at the picture of me in the Pot Luck thread. My brother Larry caption was only a joke. It was taken sometime last year I think.

BTW did I ever tell you about my wild ride on the back of a bike? Someone went into a curve and forgot I was on the bike with him. It was the kind of curve you don't forget. The pegs was real close to that pavement. Now I'm not gonna mention no names in this. But I thinks The Lord helped us get around that curve upright.

The good part was neither one of us panicked or froze but went with the bike. My biking days was a Yamaha 175 I bought second hand. Lot's of fun and my share of road rash. I only laid it down on the pavement once. I learned to let go of the grips real fast too once I cleared it. LOL Now out in the woods was another matter. I took one trip over the handle bars on a lake bank. I liked to ride but it was probably best I never went into it serious. I've always been too impared but now have the sense to realize it. Back then I didn't.
My nephews biking time was short. A few months and he dropped one on a real bad road a few miles from the house. A guy I went to high school with was killed on one on that road too. Nephew was riding a brand new crotch rocket I call them. He didn't get hurt but I found out later he had no insurance or license. He had no business on one due to his judgment issues. Way too impulsive without understanding or caring what would happen. My brother in law wasn't too happy about the bike. Boy had suckered my sister into co-signing for it.
BTW I would consider an ATV though. But I gotta put need first and I needs something wife can ride in too.
