I havn't killed anything ever as far as a deer goes. I have Tremors that was not under control, that affected my guitar playing, and I don't ever want to quit playing guitar. It was also effecting my aim, I bought tripods, I paid $110 for a transit tripod on Ebay, but tripods werent the answers. Medicine was. The doubled the strength of my meds, and the Tremors are now under control.

Here's my opening day buck from last year. It's the only day I got to hunt as my back went out after climbing my treestand. Man was it cold that morning. About 8 degrees best as I remember but well worth it. This was the 5th buck I saw that day. We have an 8 point or bigger rule where we hunt. Here is my dad's buck from muzzleloader season. He was a dandy.

Y'all have some good tall tines on the racks around where you live Bob, the one's in western Tn I've seen are a lot smaller bodied deer, and no where near as tall or wide in rack size, most of what I've seen from around Paris Tn where DSA had a lease site, and on trips on my motorcycle with my wife as my Co spotter, They have mostly tall and Narrow racks. We have some good sized bucks around here, and big bodied, a lot of food source here. That deer you killed, and the one your dad killed, look like their from the same gene pool, like Father, and son. What do you think Bob? What did your Dad's measure? Randy

I could show you my 2007 deer. Found it dead 15 feet off my driveway from the waste disease that hit that year. TWRA wouldn't touch it. Used to I would not have been allowed to touch it. Times change.

My only deer last year. She was 1 of 3 that I hit hard with the Horton 150 and 100 grain Muzzys, but the only one I was able to harvest. Attachments:

I never hit one. But helped track quite a few others did. But I haven't been on a deer hunt since 1980. If you know where I'm talking about Encore Buck Ridge on Chuck Swan was my favorite hunting place. I'd climb the ridge just past Levi Evans spring at a cemetery and go up. Half the time I dropped on over into Clear Creek. On the other side of the road between the Y towards Oaks Chapel and left to Levi Evans was a good place too down in the flats over to the saw mill.

LOL Buck Ridge is the ridge Levi Evans is on. It's been called that since the 50's when my dad was bow hunting on it. On the other side of the ridge is Clear Creek. Weirdest thing happened to me. I took off to the left in the first field at the Y and was walking through the thickets toward the saw mill close to Levi Evans on the right. It had rained the night before and I saw I know about two acres of water standing in there. I hunted there the rest of the day and came back the next morning. Not a drop of water to be found. Made things kinda confusing.

My dad's deer scored right at 130". My biggest buck came from the same area and it grossed 127 1/8". I'm sure their from the same gene pool. Look at the buck I posted on the trailcam section. It looks almost identical to my dad's deer only wider.
