I ain`t never been noodlin fer catfish before. Don`t much think I`ll try it neither. Sure as I did I`d stick my arm in the mouth of on of the Snappinhippocrockagatormus or worse I`d grab a snake.

It'd be the same with me too Caretaker. I'd grab holt of something I could let go off without giving up a piece of myself.

I've seen it on TV the past year or so. There ain't no way I'm gonna do that. But I remember people used to go up creeks catching snapping turtles that way. I don't want one of them either.

Do Cottonmouth bite underwater? Don't have them here but I still ain't Noodling. Critters up underneath the banks with sharp teeth and I don't mean the fish either.

I have had commercial fishermen tell me they have seen "cottonmouth" in the rivers here. But only when the temps are very high and humid. They swim up from the deep south to cooler temps.
And there are cottonmouths in and around Memphis in the Mississippi.
It's possible the same could happen around Knoxville when the Tn comes to meet the French Broad. I never heard of cottonmouth in that area but strange things do happen.
Anyho I am NOT sticking my hand in a hole.

We have cottonmouths all around this area, They like the nastier ponds, and lakes. They love Reelfoot lake in the Tiptonville/Samburg Tn area. I'll not nor will I ever noodle a fish, snake, or alligator gar from it's home, if they leave me alone, i'll keep my hands out of there home!!

Maybe I'm old but I just don't see where they get the nerve. People do some strange things. Boggles the mind.
