Deer will dig for certain minerals or foods. i have seen them dig a 1/2 buried salt block or mineral block completely up.

My cousin was saying at first when it started happening that squirrels will dig in food plots. All I saw was a lot of deer hoof prints, all around the badly dug areas. A man at church tonight sad from what he saw on my cell phone, that bucks had started sparring for territory, and looks like they had had a good lock up. I'm moving a cam over to the scrape line, and another on those two food plots with all the tracks and torn up spots.
