Me too, I'm going to set the new pop up blind back in the area where that plot is, right beside the end of my fencerow and woods, and that scrape line with at least 8 scrapes in about 150 yards of fencerow.

looks mighty fine and that aint no joke ya got deer moving and pawing(by the looks of the first pic a mature deer along with a youngun in tow) keep checking them scrapes and if ya can find a rub line... does and younguns will hang to the middle but most bucks unless they are trailing will hang back a bit to the sides. if you are gunning for a buck that is your best bet... if you are looking to fill a freezer....... you just have to set back and enjoy. best of luck. mike.

I'd like to kill my 1st buck, but I'm not looking for a small rack, I could have shot a 6 pointer, and a 4 pointer last year, but I want a large mature buck, just like me large and mature. lol I have a good scrape line and a several rubs down the fencerow on the back of our farm, but have hunting rights for the farm on the other side of that fence too.

well when it comes to rubs... if it is a tree with at least a 8 to 9 inch trunk that is getting mauled you have yourself a good sized buck with at least 3 to 4 years of age to him. trees with smaller diameters could be anything from a large buck all the way down to a fork horn.
not sure how the hunting pressure is around you but most hunters like to brag about getting a big buck... keep your ears open at the diners and what not and see if anybody has tagged a bruiser or better yet has seen a bruiser cruising in your area.
ya said that you have hunting rights to a farm area... ask that farmer if he has seen any woppers working his fields or water sources.
and last but not least if ya got a trail cam set it up just off of the rub and scrape line... see if that buck is the shooter that you want and see what hours of the day or night that he is working.
best of luck to ya this season and let us know how ya done.
mike.

Mike I think it's a 4 pointer that was running around with his pappy, the large 8 pointer in the slide show in the main forum page. I saw him on the gamecam at the closest scrape to the woods I have my cam aimed at that scrapeline. We have a lot of hunting pressure, but Big8s is a good friend to one of the hunters on the farm next door. He'll here if they kill the 10, and 2 8 pointers that are in our area. I have pics of the 4 pointer at 8:30 in the morning the day before yesterday. I have daytime pics of a lot of the fawns and yearling doe's and buttons on my cams too. Randy

sounds like ya have a whole lot of deer working your spread and better yet a mix and mathch between matures and young uns. hopefully you will get a chance to put one if not more into your sights this season ;D
if ya can hold back a bit on opening day and see how it play's out. like i said most bruiser's will hang back and let the lil ones take one for the team.
best of luck and keep the pics coming... nice to see somebody having some sign.
mike.
