How big of a buck do you think it might be. Can you tell anything about size of a buck by a scrape.

Me either. I'm not a greenhorn on doe's, but I still green as a gourd on bucks, and the most of Deer hunting as a whole!! lol

You can't really tell much from a scrape, but I have found yearling deer tend to make huge scrapes. That's been my history. Not to say a big buck won't make a huge scrape, but it's like the young guys are trying to get noticed. It is true that many bucks will use the same scrape. I have pictures to prove that point. Buck rubs are also sometimes questionable. A big buck will rub a small tree or bush as will a small buck, but a small buck typically doesn't rub a big tree. If you find a small bush or sapling that is twisted into or just twisted all up, you can bet it's a bigger buck. Also, if limbs above the scrape are twisted or broke off, your more than likely dealing with a big buck. Hope this helps.
