When I was hiking the bears didn't worry me as much as hogs. They can wreck an area in short order and if they feel cornered they can wreck you. BTW I guess it was about 15 years ago my my sister, mom, and dad and I think I was along saw a couple of hogs out on Point 19 on Norris. I think TWRA got them out of there real fast.

I saw what an old domestic sow can do a bitin and don`t want no part of it. pigs is smart and can be dangerous. Also the are distructive, but then again the are tasty.

Yea too bad they don't allow them to be hunted out of the park by common folks LOL..I was hiking one time between Spence Field and Russell Field making the loop when I saw sign. I figured they were close. I just kept a good tree in sight.

Yea maybe they will open it up to drawn hunts if things get bad enuff.

Pigs ain`t bears and will infiltrate populated areas in mass like a swarm of locus if given time to breed and spread.

That would be a good hunt, and fill a freezer with some good ol pork, They seem to have their hands full with them thar pigs!!!
