As Joe Walsh says "Lucky I'm sane after all I been through." We were each others enablers for mischief back in our younger days. Not much too serious just some things were not too bright I reckon. But we survived.

Thanks sksfordman. My name is John. I can be fat too. Got up to 270 down to 255. Trying to hit under 250 before another Sawbones visit. UB Ugly goes a long way back. He was among the first legal bow hunters in the state. He mainly deer hunted Chuck Swan and sometimes Catoosa back in the 50's and 60's. Last deer hunt we went on was in 1980 to LBL then up to Chuck Swan. If I go again I'll likely step out the back door I reckon. My free time is kinda tied up most the time but I ought to at least go below Norris and fish anyway.

Yea I play "Over by the Winder" and my wife helps me out. Even the dog gets a tad bit upset hearing the 12 string :>} I got to see The Eagles once in about 1978 or so while stationed in Norfolk. Waslh was there I remember that much.

The only way I learned to play a 6 string was on your old Aspen Caretaker. The one I had I found out later was unplayable by anyboby because of the neck and frets. The 12 strig My wife got for me at Ciderville. It's a Takamine 400 I think. It was used and somebody had strung it up wrong. At one point I had a lot of time on my hands and finally sat down and learned to play.

I've had 3 12 strings, one an ovation 12 string which had a great sound, and I had a very rare Fender Twelve electric 12 string, It had an awesome sound for a solid body electric. I loaned it to a friend, and he carried it away in the case, and was gigging with it, and got drunk, and forgot to put it in the case, and had a wreck and damage it real bad. Then I bought a Peavey Hydra double neck 6 & 12 string. It was the same guitar that Jeff Cook the lead guitar player for Alabama played. I had a great sound, but was so heavy it almost broke my back. Today I play a Brian Moore syntheiser. It allows me to play Acoustic trough a piezo pickup in the bridge, and has 2 humbuckers for the electric sounds, and a synth pickup, so I can play Banjo, Fiddle, Piano, Organs, amoung other instruments. I don't want you to think I'm a great guitar player, I'm just a decent all aroung player with lots of toys. Randy

Basically I learned about 15-20 chords and worked my way up one finger at a time picking. But I stay third fret and below. No picks just my fingers. The 12 string hasn't been touched in a few months. A messed up kid I think tossed my tuner in the trash for me and I can't tune it without it.
Strange enough the 6 string helps me medically too. I have a form of seizures {myoclonic} not too much is known about except they are auditory or visually triggered. If they hit hard I have two choices when I'm home. Medicine or the guitar. Most the time the guitar works faster.
