Thanks I appreciate that. I've not been deer hunting in over 25 years and it's been a while since a fishing trip too. I've been on disability for 15 years for a whacked out sensory processing problem. In other words tree stands are impossible for me to use. I live in good deer and turkey country and keep a rabbit thicket going too.
I'm the son of U.B. Ugly or as he was known many, many years ago bow hunting on Chuck Swan as Ironhead. I got to know a few of the ones he hunted with. They used to go to each other house {usually ours} and make their own wood shaft arrows. Compound Bows were rare and my Bow was a Red Wing Hunter 50# I think.

I think ye know me and known me a long time. One and the same. You know U.B. Ugly too. Which one is the ugliest though you have to decide for yourself. About 32 years ago I went on a sea cruise by invitation of the Navy to the MED SEA for 6 months. In that time me and him had a contest to see who would be the ugliest when I got back from it. Well we both grew beards and it was just too hard to tell. But I've kept mine though as it hides a lot of ugly. Not to mention my wife or the dogs would know me without it.

When I was 14 & 15 I camped about a month at a time in the lower part of Point 19 where the new camp area is now. I stayed there and my dad brought me in food and ice every day or so. He left me with the boat and an old 7.5 Evinrude which I learned to work on real fast. I also had a Lab that was a storm predictor. I'd leave camp to fish Big Ridge. I'd find her over there looking for me. Any hinto of a storm and she knew it a few hours in advance.

Yea there was some Turkey's down there yesterday too. When they crossed up here I usually don't see them. They stay down in the thickets or up on the ridge.

Not sure yet. The way things go with me it's just about last minute before I can decide. I hope they did better than grapes did this year though. I got a friend on Clinch Mt a few miles outside of Blaine and none of their grapes or blueberries did any good this year.
