Well I've got plenty of Acorns. I hear them hitting the roof all the time. Not sure they're any bigger or smaller than usual though.

Yea from what I have heard the acorns are dropping like rain. The deer aren`t moving much.

He's probably right about another thing too.. This time of year the deer will ignore food plots. There's still too much abundance of other food.

First couple of good heavy frost will trigger their winter storage feeding. Then they'll feed a lot heavier.

I have a good crop of acorns on our few oaks we have left in our woods, also have a couple of pecan trees, and several walnut, and hickory nut trees, but I guess they are for the squirrels huh!!

The deer would have a problem with the walnuts for sure.

The deer will go after the acorns as they are soft enough for them to chew. I don`t know about the pecans. The walnut and hickory are too thick shelled.

They chew corn so they can chew pecans no problem.

One of the strangest thing I ever saw was back when I was a kid. I stumbled across a stand of pawpaws and the deer were feeding on them.
