So sorry I been away so long guys but, we built a new lodge in record time this summer {not done yet} then had to get right into the bear baiting season which carried us through the month of August and into September. Then it was hunting hard for the bears {9 for 12} which took us into October. After that is was DEER SEASON.Which just now ended. So as you can see I've been extremly busy and hope to catch you all up to speed here shortly. Also hope your all well and have yourself a Merry Christmas and even better New Year. Let the pictures begin.......

Like to start this {update} at the beginning which means the beginning of our lodge building affair.I'm not one to post alot of pictures and at anytime if it gets to be to much let me know and I'll gladly stop filling up space with my {stuff}. First off we were faced with a hard choice to make early this spring{2010).Our cabin that we had been renting went up forsale.WhiCh meant we either had to buy it or move along. After much thought and talks between myself and the other half of Jaws-N-Claws {my wife},we desided to pack up our little guiding bussiness and retire from it. So with heavy hearts and a slow finger I began the task of calling my clients and telling them there deposit money would soon be on it's way back to them, much to my surprise and at the time not very funny matter, some guys refused to take there money back and said I couldn't retire as they needed to come here not only to hunt but to visit{in order here to save space and make a long story short} I will just say they talked me into shopping around for a cabin or lodge that would suit my needs and keep me in the guiding game. The search began...... When I got to thinking about what I/we would {need} acouple things came to mind, one was room the other location. So began our journey though many miles of dirt roads looking at "this and that"Our previous camp was twenty minute from {town} too close for me.Many others where simply either not in the right location for bear/deer hunting or extremly over priced {lakes and water frontage}after 15-20 different cabins and not a single thing that would even come close to what we needed,we had all but gave up all hopes of every finding anything in time to make our deadline of the bear hunting season opener on September 13 2010. Just as I had began making plans to lodge my 2010 season of hunters in a motel {didn't like that idea} I was searching through a local "adds" board when I noticed...FORSALE.. as I read down through the add I thought this can't be right. This place is right in the middle of my hunting {area}and I know right where it is,but it can't be.I tore off the number and made it home in record timing.I made the call and asked to confirm it..."Yes I own it and yes it's forsale".I said lets go look Now I should say here that this {camp} is an hours drive off the {main drag} so we had lots of time to {yak} about the place.Everything I was told lead me to believe this place would be in shambles, nobody had even stayed the night in 20 years, much less done any upkeep to it.Once arriving at our location.I was greeted with a shocking looking run down {cabin}.No door, rotten windows, big hole out through the wall you could have thrown a cat though, blocking underneath was in major need of some maintainance. But overal a good solid foundation with with much work being needed but in my mind savable. One other major problem was the only way into this place was by foot so a road would need be built.Every once of my mind said stay away from this place but my heart said .I LOVE IT. It was mid-May and so much needed to be done before this place would even be fit for anything other than the mice to stay in.I'll never be able to do it in time I kept telling myself. This is what she looked like the day I walked in and first saw it.
